Non-invasive Video Analysis of Beating Cardiomyocytes

cellogyA recent study using iCell® Cardiomyocytes demonstrated the use of non-invasive video analysis to measure the biomechanical contraction and relaxation of cardiomyocytes.1

This video analysis technology, Pulse (Cellogy, Inc.), uses video microscopy and advanced image analysis algorithms2 to measure various beating parameters (Figure 1) without any labels or contact with cells. When used with iCell Cardiomyocytes, Pulse enables fast, accurate measurement of drug-induced changes in beating patterns, including GPCR effects and detection of arrhythmias (Figure 2).
