Summary:

Demonstration of reprogramming from a single vial of blood or less using cells expressing the early lineage marker CD34 as well as from unpurified peripheral blood mononuclear cells.

Impact:

The methodology described demonstrates the creation of induced pluripotent stem cells from blood samples without the use of integrating reprogramming vectors, avoiding modifications of the donor genome while utilizing the least invasive sampling methodology.
