Yes, you can enzymatically dissociate a monolayer of iCell® Cardiomyocytes from a culture plate for subsequent use as a single-cell suspension or in an assay-specific plate. We recommend you culture iCell Cardiomyocytes for 7 days according to our Application Protocol for enzymatic dissociation using 0.1% trypsin to achieve optimal cardiomyocyte function and yield. For pre-plated cultures, we recommend 750,000 plated cells/well in 6-well plates (approximately 78,000 cells/cm2).
