Ma et al. (2011) provided in-depth characterization data on iCell® Cardiomyocytes using the manual perforated patch clamp method. iCell Cardiomyocytes recapitulate the electrophysiological characteristics of native human cardiomyocytes, expressing cardiac Na+, Ca2+, and K+ channels and enabling cardiac action potential recording for electrophysiological interrogation.
