Yes, if you require a faster workflow without manual application of an extracellular matrix (ECM) for iCell® GABANeurons, you can choose plates pre-coated with PDL and manually apply a coat of laminin before use. Choose 96-well plates (Greiner Bio-One, Cat. No. 655946, or Corning, Cat. No. 354640), 384-well plates (Greiner Bio-One, Cat. No. 781946), or 6-well plates (Corning, Cat. No. 354413). Before using these plates, add a fresh coat of laminin during thaw by diluting a stock solution to a final concentration of 10 μg/ml directly into complete iCell Neural Base Medium 1 containing iCell Neural Supplement A.

If you use plates pre-coated with both PDL and laminin, note that the morphology of the cells will look different than on pre-coated PDL plates supplemented with a fresh coat of laminin, and viability or functionality may be impacted. Generally, we recommend using pre-coated PDL plates with fresh laminin.
