We perform neurite outgrowth analysis for iCell® GABANeurons at a density of 15,000 cells/well in a 96-well plate according to our Application Protocol. For analysis of fixed cells, we use a βIII-tubulin antibody; for live cells, we use a calcein AM viability stain; for staining nuclei, we use a Hoechst 33342 stain. Tice et al. and Sherman et al. assessed the effect of multiple compounds on the neurite outgrowth.
