iCell® Cardiomyocytes provide an optimal test system for screening biochemical pathways by combining biological relevance and easy delivery of reporter gene constructs. According to our Application Protocol, iCell Cardiomyocytes are transiently transfected with CRE-responsive luciferase reporter constructs that allow for monitoring the β-adrenergic receptor signal transduction pathway. Note that iCell Cardiomyocytes Maintenance Medium contains serum and may affect downstream reporter assays that are sensitive to serum (e.g. SRE).
