CDI recommends culturing iCell® Hepatocytes 2.0 in RPMI-based plating and maintenance media (not provided) supplemented with iCell Hepatocytes 2.0 Medium Supplement (provided as a component of the iCell Hepatocytes 2.0 Kit, Cat. No. R1027) and several other components (not provided). Media were formulated to maintain purity and function of cells over time in culture.
The Plating Medium consists of the six components listed in the table below; the Maintenance Medium consists of the same components as the Plating Medium except it does not contain oncostatin M.
